Well looks like I am going to be a little busier in the near future, a few things going on in life VaCaTiOn being one of them!

We decided, and for those of you who know us you would fully agree it is a need right now, so we are going out west and going to have a blast as my wife gets to bask in the beauty of mountains and I will be there too.

Seriously though it was funny when she told her family in contrast to when I told mine, I am generally more even as far as excitement goes I guess that I save all of mine for the stage (improv comedy and acting), but Sharon was SUPER excited and has been reeling since, I love seeing her that way she is so cute, really.

But when I told my family it wasnt with a guess what!?! and excited shrieks on either end of the phone it was a “oh and we’re going on vacation so would you be able to take my calls…”

Usually I am more reluctant to go on vacation as it may not be the best fiscal decision at the time, but right now we both NEED to get away as there has been a bunch of piled up stress that fortunately we have dealt with pretty well considering but it is like living a work week and then needing the weekend to refocus and rejuvenate.

So if you have any suggestions of things to do in the Banff, Jasper, or Edmonton area let me know as I would love some tips.

Little known fact: I use to live in AB for a bunch of years growing up and near enough to Edmonton so that West Edmonton Mall was a frequent stop, also it is now home to my sister, her man and my two nephews one that I will meet for the first time while on this trip!

Other then that my life is lookin up, we are just nearing completion on our insurance clean up and we will be pluggin away at the basement but realistically no rush.

It’s been a while… sorry

I just wanted to update things are moving along at home with both insurance clean up nearing completion 80%ish and also basement renos getting closer to something anyway.

I love the fact that I have more lives than a cat it is so nice to see that the ability and desire to stay breathing is so ingrained in my being, just some fun times renovating that would have killed the average person but for me I walk away unscathed, so I guess my job here isnt done and I have a great purpose ahead huh?

Well it’s officially here, well the delivery day anyway; our bed should get delivered today as we have been without it for quite some time.

Really I cant wait and mid day I may actually may have to take a nap to test it out, who knows.

Yesterday an AWESOME person Melody Halliday let me borrow her truck for most of the day as I needed to get supplies to finish the basement, I tell ya trucks are pretty handy when you renovate. Thanks so much Melody!

Anyway I gotta go get to work but I am looking forward to talking with some of you very soon.

Procrastinators put off til tomorrow, I think we need to get the anti-procrastination philosophy out there which would be do it yesterday, and if you cant do that then today at the latest.

My new found passion comes as a result of a personal experience. I needed to keep some wood from warping and I screwed a scrap piece to it in hopes that I wouldnt have to worry about it. At the time I thought that the piece was too long as it stuck out and I thought, “nah that’ll be fine”. Well doesnt it finally come back to bite me in the butt, pun intended. I’ve given you a shot of the aftermath but I fell on it while coming down the stairs and man did that hurt.
Oh well no sympathy I should have had it cut before leaving it there and I am just glad it didnt bite Sharon, because then I would have felt terrible.

Today a new project resumes, my basement, I have been working like an ant; you know what I mean right? the diligent progressive and sometimes futile efforts, at improving my home and I am very worried that when I finish the basement I wont have anything left so I will have to start breaking things just to keep me going!

Well either that or take a break, nah I think breaking sounds better, wonder what you think would you rather demolish or build? Leave a comment and let me know I am guessing the guys may be more prone to the former, we’ll see.

Anyway keep pluggin away at what your renovating and if you need any tips or help let me know I am connected to everything (enter evil laugh) MWAH HA HA!

Well it wasn’t long my arms still peeling and I got another burn, again my fault but man I should try and avoid those golden rays better!

Anyway I put a new face on my shed including a couple of doors and what a difference, it’ll need to get painted so lemme know what colours you would suggest.

Appraising property, why didnt I think of it?!?

Hey everyone it’s my mortgage time and we are getting an appraisal done for our house and boy oh boy now I can appreciate what you must go through when waiting to hear the values of your homes, even though I know what mine should be there is always an element of chance that it will not come back at what you thought it would.

Well today was a sad day, my Kia is gone… That’s right the spunky little green beast that tormented me and had my name all over it!

Good ridence and thank you to the one who removed it for me I know we each did the other a favor and I hope it works well for you.

On a lighter side I have an awesome couple coming over tonight and they are past clients but current friends, so gotta go get ready!

Just a quick warning as I think GPS purchases are great but there has been a rash of thefts as per the Sarnia Police; and one person I talked to mentioned that he had 3 stolen and one was with his window smashed out (all in different locations in Sarnia). br brI mention it because I want to help keep your losses to a minimum but also to raise awareness that there is a criminal element and if you see something really dont just pass by make sure that we all keep watch for our neighbourhood.br brAnyway back to the less serious (this message has been brought to you by….me),brBbr

Hey guys quick update as I was quite amused, my passport (which I had not realized its absence) was returned to me by someone I know down the street proving again there is good in the world, but it was funny today I came home and on the top of the mailbox was my business card holder! It was kinda funny as I thought of the hide and go seek joke I made earlier and then I thought about the passport and I realized that I am quot;that kidquot; you know the one who gives up partway through and is just wandering around and someone feels bad and says they#39;re over there… Yep I#39;m him now!br brAnyway have a great day and I will blog ya later!~brBbr
